Help on vegetation management

The Veg Hub — call before you clear

The Veg Hub is a free service to help landholders understand the vegetation management framework, including clearing laws in Queensland. The hub is a team of technical officers located in regional areas.

We work with you to provide suitable advice, options and solutions for your proposed clearing activities. Our friendly and experienced officers will assist you with your queries.

We can help you:

  • understand the vegetation management framework
  • determine the different vegetation category areas and regional ecosystems mapped on property
  • prepare for natural disasters and assist with recovery efforts
  • report unauthorised clearing
  • make informed and effective decisions by providing information about vegetation management
  • clarify any misunderstandings regarding the management of clearing of native vegetation
  • understand vegetation management requirements when purchasing a property.
